The easternmost ward in D.C. is also home to the Southeast White House.  Ward 7, a.k.a the Shrimp Boat, is located just south of Capitol Heights, Maryland and North of Ward 8.  While most tend to associate SE D.C. with Ward 8's Anacostia neighborhood, Ward 7 has 29 neighborhoods as well as the largest number of children of all the wards.  It is a community with a rich and often unknown history.  My Neck of the District is meant to share gems on this side of the Anacostia.
